Accrington Stanley Saved Again

Merchent banker IIyas Khan has come to the rescue of Accrington Stanley. It is claimed he paid £160.000 of the £308.000 owed to the taxman. The rest of the money came fom the Save Our stanley fans appeal which managed a whopping £96.000 and £50.000 from a Professional footballers Associated loan and another £2000 from the club.

Mr Khan now chairman of the club is asking questions regarding where some of the money raised by the Save Our Stanley appeal has gone, it is not known how much was raised but Mr Khan will be taking a look. Reports suggest it could as high as £130.000 but the red’s official website stated £116.000 on Tuesday.

Who knows what the future holds for the club but at least they have got someone on the board with a passion for the club and has at least put up the money. I think they have a promissing future but we will have to wait and see.
