Hyndburn Council Elections

As well as the General Election, May 6th is also the date for Hyndburn Council elections.  Eleven seats will be contested on the same day: Clayton-le-Moors; Huncoat; Immanuel; Milnshaw; Netherton; Overton; Peel; Rishton; Spring Hill; St Andrew’s and St Oswalds.

Clayton-le-Moors and Huncoat are currently held by the Independents in Hyndburn group.  Labour hold Immanuel, Milnshaw, Netherton, Peel and Spring Hill, and the Conservatives hold Overton, Rishton, St Andrew’s and St Oswald’s.

There will once again be strong representation from independent candidates, and in addition there is also a BNP candidate in Clayton-le-Moors and a Liberal Democrat candidate in Spring Hill.

If you live in one of these wards, you will have two ballot papers to complete on Thursday May 6th.
